This is the foundation upon which everything else is built in our classroom.
Choice is the one aspect of our lives that most people forget they always have. You always choose how to respond to any situation. The key is to do it consciously.
There have been times in my life when I have felt "trapped"; as if the options seemed about as undesirable as the situation I was in.
But I suppose that staying in such a situation is a choice in itself.
I always knew that it wouldn't always be that way. That one day I would have the courage & energy to change the situation... that the day would come when I would choose differently.
And yes, I've grown.
