That sounds a lot like close-mindedness.
It is a pervasive and fatal affliction.
Limiting beliefs keep us from growing.
Now that I'm in my 40's, some of the beliefs, I I held in my 20's seem so plain silly, rigid, or impossible.
We need to ask ourselves-
What do I gain from holding onto this ?
&
What might I gain, if I choose to let it go?
