"Every day brings a chance for you to draw in a breath, kick off your shoes, and dance."

Probably more than one chance when you get right down to it.

Unfortunately, I just don't grab those opportunities as often as I could or should.

I'm the only one who can change that.

Life really is mostly what we make of it.

I've been known to literally dance my way through what might otherwise be mundane- housework & grocery shopping.
A favorite to listen to while I do housework is Lucinda Williams' Hot Blood. The song reminds me to make & find the extraordinary in the every day stuff:

Just a shakin' in my knees, just a cold chill
Don't know what it is, just call it a thrill
... ... ...
Well I saw you in the grocery store
Buyin' tomatoes for a casserole
Well I saw you in the laundry mat
Washin' your clothes, gettin' all the dirt out...

P.S.

Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
Time is a real
and constant motion
always rolling us along
... who wants to look
back and wonder
where the years have gone?
I hope you dance.

How many missed opportunities do we let slip by to enjoy life? And how many more will we let slip by today?
