Only that which we earn is truly valued.
This is why so much of modern american schools upset me - they think that they can give kids self-esteem - instead of giving them the opportunity to earn it.
Easy come, easy go.
The harder that one works to get something can probably be directly correlated to how much that item is appreciated and taken care of.
I see many teenagers with overwhelmiing entitlement issues and it is frustrating to see it growing with each new year of students.
A sense of entitlement. I see it everyday. When one does not learn or attempt to be responsible for self, they soon become a dreaded burden to others.
