Perhaps the first, last, and only refuge.
Violence tends to create more problems than it can ever solve.
As much as I love his books, I have to disagree with this one. There are times when other solutions just aren't going to work. Nobody was going to negotiate with Hitler - violence was the only way to stop the third reich.
I would say that this should be changed - and it is often the first refuge of the incompetent. It is the last refuge of the truly great.
I find this very similar to the quotes on 3/12 and 2/3 (and you thought I wasn't paying attention :-) ).
