"No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted."

My personal favorite is

"No good deed goes unpunished"
Clare Boothe Luce (1903 - 1987)

But being serious, this came up last night - where in a discussion a woman felt she was not giving as much in her marriage as her husband, and I pointed out that sometimes it is the little things that count, and that we don't give ourselves credit for.

Kindness, in and of itself, is a good thing for both the one who receives it and for the one who gives it. That's like getting two paychecks for the same job!

Seriously, though, it is perhaps a bit selfish of me but I like doing random acts of kindness for other people because it really does make me feel better and improve my day when I know that I have made some small difference in the day or life of someone else even if it is just opening a door or smiling at a stranger.

I used to want to save the world & all it's inhabitants.

I found that to be an impossible to achieve.

Some days, the only thing I have to offer is a smile.
