This makes me think of the very dark humor that people in emergency rooms, trauma centers, ambulance drivers, police, and firemen are known to have.
The darkest humor might offend some but it also gives outlet to some very serious emotions that can cause major damage if kept bottled up.
Often it is only the ability to laugh that keeps us from crying.
