I think that we tend to find exactly what we are looking for. A person who always chooses to see the negative or focus on bad things will continue to see what's wrong in their lives but a person who looks for the positive and chooses to focus on solutions will usually find good things.
That's not to say that life will always be rosy and peachy BUT it also does not have to be a miserable, pathetic existence either.
look for the beauty and you are bound to find something beautiful.
