Welcome to the Quote of the Day! This site originated in a small, special education, high school classroom and we talk about these quotes each morning on school days. We'll share our thoughts, feelings, and personal values as we explore the words of others. We look forward to hearing your thoughts as well. If you have a quote that you would like to see used, please send it to: michelle(dot)nvs(at)gmail(dot)com (all lower case).

uh - NO!
Thought control - never, ever a good thing. Especially not based on culture.
When a culture starts believing that certain thoughts are wrong, then it has stopped growing and expanding, and is on the path to destruction.
I don't read this as thought control by others but by ourselves.
Thoughts lead to behaviors and ask any pedophile if he can be cured and he'll tell you that he doesn't need to be cured. And he doesn't have to control his thoughts either.
His problem is not in his testicles as so many people think. The problem is in his head. It's a shame that we can't castrate that part of the brain.
And even if we had the technology we would not be able to because some civil rights group would insist that the pedophiles rights are more important that those of children.
Gee, I went right into that bad place, didn't I?
Thank goodness!; we have the ability to CHOOSE and/or to CHANGE our sometimes counter-productive perspective(s).
