Hell Yeah!!
Those who merely go along without question, especially against their intuition nudging or screaming for them not to, have mighty lessons to learn. Often, REGRET, is that teacher.
The key is the responsibility to accept the consequences. I've tried to instill this in my children. Sometimes you must disobey the rules (such as a sit-in at the local high school a few years ago to protest the black mold growing in the school, and the administration not cleaning it up properly) but you have to be willing to accept what happens.
Questioning what is right and wrong is one of the best rights that Americans have.
The ability to act on those wrongs is even better.
