We really should just be the best that we can be and enjoy the ride as we're doing it!

Most of the things that we tend to compare or "envy" are things that really don't amount to much; they can be lost in a mere twist of fate moment -
illness, accident, one dire decision, & such. What we must value most is not what we have but who we ARE.
You shouldn't compare against others, but you also don't want to be complacent either. We should always strive to be better, but no because we feel others are, but because we need to be.
