I guess this is supposed to be some kind of old/young ying/yang thing - but it just doesn't click at all with me today.
I've two takes on Wild's quote~
Become knowledgeable, & also remember to keep a protected place of innocence inside of yourself.
Furthermore, take into account what is already known~ & if it's worthy, consider a new way of seeing it.
Wisdom and wonder are not mutually exclusive.
A wise person knows that there is MUCH that they do not know and the wonder gives birth to the desire explore which, in turn, increases the wisdom.
It is a self-perpetuating cycle.
A good one.
