Welcome to the Quote of the Day! This site originated in a small, special education, high school classroom and we talk about these quotes each morning on school days. We'll share our thoughts, feelings, and personal values as we explore the words of others. We look forward to hearing your thoughts as well. Oh, yeah.
A lot of people enjoy hanging around when times are good but that's not always case in hard times.
Just wait until you have to move and see who offers to come help you. Those are your real friends.
I remember watching some TV show and one of the women said that a real friend was someone that you could call at 3:00 in the morning to come bail you out of jail. Her friend disagreed and said that the real friend would have been in jail with her.
I liked both answers.
I remembered a quote from Oprah. She put it this way:
"Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down."
I always like the line:
Friends help you move;
Real friends help you move bodies.
