There are times in my life when I choose to withdraw for a while and I go back when I'm ready to.

I think that this quote really is about the power of our ability to choose in our own lives.

That's not to say that a person who may be suffering from a chemical brain imbalance and/or clinical depression can always choose how they feel but they are the exceptions rather than the rule.

Dear Universe,

When my cup is bone dry. Help me to find constructive ways to replenish it.

{I, too, have been there.}

We can't control our feelings, they are a part of being human. It is how we respond to those feelings that we can control. That is one thing no one else can do, nor can they take it away.
