"The self is not ready-made, but something in continuous formation through choice of action."

Welcome to the Quote of the Day! This site originated in a small, special education, high school classroom and we talk about these quotes each morning on school days. We'll share our thoughts, feelings, and personal values as we explore the words of others. We look forward to hearing your thoughts as well. If you have a quote that you would like to see used, please send it to: michelle(dot)nvs(at)gmail(dot)com (all lower case).

Does anyone disagree with this? Does anyone think we are born ready made and rarin' to go?
Each of us are made up of the choices we make, and the reactions and responses we make to the events that happen around us.
Our every thought and every deed continually shapes who we are from the moment we are born until the moment that we die.
The choices/actions of today shape our future. They surely, do.
