Our imagination can make the unknown bigger and badder than anything that really exists.

I will fear no evil: For thou art with me; ...

SURELY, goodness & mercy will follow me ..."

Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evel; For I am the meanest son-of-a-bitch in the valley!

Sorry, couldn't resist that one Teresa!

On topic - how often does the fear of the unknown stop us from so much more than what is really there?

Puggimer...

One I couldn't resist: ...
Time was, some 20 years ago, I would fear no "ill" - I {thought}I could charm my way into or out of any situation!! Then one day, I realized that I could be broken down (soul level) to pretty near nothing; that there was a power much mightier than I... Imperfect me... & that particular quote {Plm. #23}as well as, "What can MAN do to me"... were ones I meditated upon daily. I realized that I couldn't do it, nor had I been doing it all alone - that someone was & had been with me, all along.

These days, for me, it's less about fear & more about lack of time & energy!! I working on that.
