Welcome to the Quote of the Day! This site originated in a small, special education, high school classroom and we talk about these quotes each morning on school days. We'll share our thoughts, feelings, and personal values as we explore the words of others. We look forward to hearing your thoughts as well. If you have a quote that you would like to see used, please send it to: michelle(dot)nvs(at)gmail(dot)com (all lower case).

We are responsible to - and capable of- surrounding ourselves with that which we find to be worthy, inspirational, desirable, beneficial & that which we love. {Even if we can only afford to decorate our surroundings with images cut out of magazines, greeting card collages, or the like.}
The opposite is also true; we are responsible to - and capable of - eliminating much of what we find to detract from our wellbeing.
The difference is that when I got re-married - my wife just about completely re-decorated my, I mean our, home (including moving the really cool painting SHE BOUGHT ME to the basement).
She doesn't get to touch my mind though - it is still as geeky as ever!
