Welcome to the Quote of the Day! This site originated in a small, special education, high school classroom and we talk about these quotes each morning on school days. We'll share our thoughts, feelings, and personal values as we explore the words of others. We look forward to hearing your thoughts as well. If you have a quote that you would like to see used, please send it to: michelle(dot)nvs(at)gmail(dot)com (all lower case).

It isn't always what you say, it's the way in which you say it.
Truth is not always found in the words. We all know that and have experienced being lied to.
If we paid more attention to the eyes, the voice, and the body we might be more likely to find where and what the truth is.
A person who does not SAY that they love or respect those around them might be considered cold and unfeeling but their tone and behavior might be saying those things for them if people are listening with more than just their ears.
Words do not come easy for some people but that doesn't mean that the feelings aren't there.
Interesting to debate this quote in a medium for which there is no tone, nor expression, nor body language. What happens when all you are left with is the words themselves? Communication can be much more than words - but to discount the words themselves could be worse than ignoring the rest.
Just look in my eyes and by the tone of my voice tell me what you think!
i agree with this statement. If you say "you're outfit is great", but with a sarcastic tone, it doesn't take on the sincerity that it should.
